metablogging
i have been thinking about blogging for some time, wanting to return to the type-written page. but after such a long, unintended absence, it seems like i should return with something really big and impressive to talk about.
fortunately, nothing in my life is dramatic enough to preface with "OMG!!@".
i am enjoying the seasonal fruits of the fall, and looking forward to steamy concoctions of root vegetables and gourds.
tonight, riding home from alverno after my sculpture class, a car honked at me to move over when i had the right of way. what upsets me is not the honking, but that i moved over instead of standing my ground. if only cars weren't so capable of smearing me into a thin paste.
what joey and i originally thought to be a ghost in our flat turned out to be a mouse. kind of a sweet little thing, actually. we chased him into the front porch the other night and closed him in. later that evening, as joey was turning off the lights, he saw the mousie sitting in front of the door like a dog waiting to be let in. joey, kindhearted as he is, opened the door and let him back in.
i hope this has been mundane enough to encourage future, similarly mundane blogging.
